Who are we

The Pema Dechenling Monastery was established by the Tamang community, Baidam, Pokhara, the indigenous people of Nepal and was officially legalized by the Nepalese government 15 years ago.

It is still run by the Tamang community along with our main monk -Guru Palten Lama. He is the Head Monk of Pema Dechenling.

The Monastery is open to anyone who wishes to visit it.

On every Full Moon we welcome everyone to join and chant, pray with us along with free meals and tea.

The Monastery welcomes all, but it is a fully Buddhist place.

You can also hear our monks chanting every day in the mornings between 7 to 8 and every afternoon between 4 to 5.

Meanwhile the Pyramid Yoga Meditation and Healing Center is working as a different entity, which is also completely legalized by the Government of Nepal, under the Office of the Company Registrar and we align with all the legal criterias to run our Center.

For us still the Center is running under the mindset of being Sewa.

For us yoga, meditation and all other activities are based on a holistic approach to be able to help people find their inner light.

This means also that we are trying to support good social causes, such as children education and other social projects.

During the pandemia we also tried to do our best to provide food for people who were in need, also to the local animals without shelter or family. Our family, who are dedicated every day to run the Center, make together a small but very bonded and strong community here, where we all welcome people with the same sewa mindset to take part in this family.
